Z's habits

Z is waking up about every 4 hours at night. During the day, he stays awake for about 2 hours after being changed and eating. He likes to be held for a little bit; then he cries to be placed somewhere else. It's kind of funny. So, we play musical placements around the house - - the cradle, the crib, the pack and play, a blanket on the floor, the swing, and a baby rocker. He is now consuming about 4 ounces at a time.

R and Z

R held his little brother in the recovery room. After Zs, he was the first one in the family to get to hold Z. Even though R is able to "compose" himself, I could see the excitement in his eyes to finally be able to see his little brother.

Z and Z

Zsolt was able to hold Zander in the recovery room. Angela was extremely dizzy and numb after the mounds of epidural meds she was administered. They let her hold Zander with assistance in the C-section delivery room. Zsolt was very excited.

The Final Arrival

Z arrived at 4:05 P.M. on Friday July 10th. He is 7 pounds and 11 ounces and 50 cm long.

Still Waiting

At 1:30 my mom is still 5 cm as far as we know. But instead of moving down Z decided to move up. Doctor has concluded that a c'section is possible. My mom is tired and hungry and ready for Z to be born. The rest of the family is eagerly awaiting the new addition.

Half Way

I was told to inform anyone following this blog that my mom is dialated 5cm. I was told that she is at her halfway point.

It's About Time

The doctor finally got here and gave her the epidural. Of course i went out into the waiting room and the nurse made Zs follow. But of course when they were done the doctor didnt come and get us so we were just sitting there waiting. Then when we got back she was mad at us for sitting out there too long. Once we got back we also found out that the doctor broke her water. The medicine is making her really loopy.

Late

Unfortunately, they did not induce my mom at 4 A.M. like they were supposed to. The nurses claim that the doctor was with another patient. But now my moms doctor is 30 minutes late to help my mom. And she is starting to get all mean and will bite your head off if you say something wrong. Well I will post once Dr. S induces her.

Sleepy Time

At 10:07 they gave my mom some medicine for pain. She said it was really sour like a warhead. But now she is like really doped up. It is so hilarious listening to her. She will say something and the bust out laughing even if it isn't funny. The bad part is that you cant help but laugh at her stupidity. Then she will shake her head and start to kind of nod off.

The IV

A nurse has just put in the IV. But of course the first one was about 45 minutes late so they made us wait. At one point she even turned my moms whole arm purple, because she could not hit my mom's vein. Even though she is heating up her arms to make the veins pop up so that you can see them better. And she is going through those suckers like a drug addict on heroin. But the first nurse could not get the needle in her vein, so they had to send in another nurse to get the job done. And by the grace of God, she got it in on the first try. IT IS ABOUT FREAKIN TIME!

Unfortunately

Unfortunate for my mom, they are going to give her an IV at 8 P.M. Of course we had to go buy her some suckers so that she will not think about the needle. Around 4 A.M a doctor is going to come in and induce her. I will post that when it happens for anyone crazy enough to be awake.

Checked-in

We check-in to BMC at 4 P.M. and got put in a humongous room. Z's heartbeat is up in the 130's. And of course my mom has to pee like every 10 freakin seconds.

The night before

At 4 p.m., I will be admitted to the hospital to get ready for tomorrow. They will induce me tomorrow at 7 a.m. The total delivery process could take a few minutes or many hours!! Pray for all of us... I don't like pain, but I am so excited to be having my second son.

R will be updating this blog when he learns any new info...
